The Carolina PineCones

…were a teenage bluegrass band based in Raleigh, NC and mentored by Durham, NC musician Jef Walter. Jessica Lang, Sam Stage, Aidan Buehler, and Anthony DeCesaris met through the summer bluegrass camps and year-round youth jams offered by PineCone, the Piedmont Council of Traditional Music.

From 2015-2019, The Carolina PineCones performed all across North Carolina, released a self-titled album, and launched the careers of some of the area’s top acoustic musicians! They’ve shared their passion for the music with audiences of all ages, demonstrating what the next generation of bluegrass musicians has to offer.
